Mulan Live Action

Mulan is a 2020 American fantasy action-drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and a live-action adaptation of the 1998 animated film Mulan. The live-action film tried to be historically accurate and honor Chinese culture. As lead designer, I tried to delve into cultural details when composing the designs of the books and collaborated with a cultural consultant team and the film studio when creating new assets.
Since the background is the Chinese Empire, I tried to preserve the historical feeling as a whole, and when selecting the overall color, black and red were mainly used in a soft direction as the characteristic colors of Mulan.
